What does it mean to walk with Christ?

What does it mean to walk with Christ?

Walking with Christ means

                        understanding who He really is.

It means understanding why He is here for me.

                                                               And for YOU.

Walking with Christ is learning what it means to have Christ as a real friend

and being a real friend to Him.

It means dedicating meaningful time to Him each day.

Walking with Christ means coming to know that He lives and

having faith that He will always love us.

Walking with Christ is a journey that only just begins here.

In the words of C.S. Lewis,

"You are embarking on something which is going to take the whole of you."

Truly coming to know Christ as our Savior, Redeemer, brother, and friend is a lifelong pursuit.  Life is busy - we all know that.  No matter what stage of life we are in, there are responsibilities and desires that take up our time and keep our minds focused on other things.  Developing this friendship with Jesus Christ will take conscious effort and time each and every day of our lives.  I pray that as we embark upon this journey together that we will be inspired to continue developing our personal relationship with the Savior and come to know Him in a sacred and special way.

How this works:

Purpose of the walk:
Throughout these 14 days we hope you will use these resources in your personal study to think about your relationship with the Savior and that you will come to have a deeper, more personal testimony of His reality, life, and love.

How this works:
Each day there will be a new blog post that describes a character trait, or quality, of a best friend.  There will be references to scriptures, links to videos/talks, and other resources as a guide to help your study.  At the end of each post there will be questions to guide personal reflection.  Keep in mind that these are just thoughts we've had to guide your study and reflection, feel free to take it in any direction you feel you should. :)

If you'd like to share experiences, insights, and other resources you've found throughout this little walk of ours, go ahead and post a comment!

At the end of the 14 day walk, we will come together and have a retreat where we will share our experiences, eat lots of yummy food, and have fun. :)
